BOARD & LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVENESS

Successful organisations that generate long-term value are led by Boards and Executives who pay close and sustained attention to their own effectiveness. The UK Corporate Governance Code advises that Boards of large companies should review their own effectiveness on an annual basis and conduct an externally facilitated review at least every three years.

We conduct independent performance reviews for the boards of public and large private companies. In this we follow the Chartered Governance Institutes’ Code of Practice for Board Reviewers Performance reviews for small and medium enterprises are provided as part of our Governance Excellence practice.

Our board performance review approach uses:

  • expert people and cultural insight;

  • extensive senior executive experience;

  • deep strategy and governance knowledge;

  • cutting edge consideration of how boards can be guided by Purpose and achieve ESG value; and

  • an engaging approach which is flexible, cost-effective, candid and insightful.

We can observe board effectiveness from all angles to ensure a very tailored set of insights and are skilled in facilitating outcomes that enable the board easily to take action.

We also partner with BoardClic the leading digital platform for Board and CEO reviews.  Our partnership leverages BoardClic’s powerful technology to track board performance, alignment and composition over time.
